Dr. Randy Kennedy came to EKU from the University of Missouri, where he worked in the Total Person Program overseeing the sports of Women's basketball, softball, Track and Field, Men's and Women's Golf, Wrestling, as well as helping with the Tiger football program. Under his watch, the Tigers earned many academic accolades including having the highest number of NCAA postgraduate scholarship winners in the nation in 2005, and the Track and Field team earning Academic All-American team honors every year during his tenure. Prior to his time at Missouri, Randy served as a personal trainer and wellness consultant, as well as the Wellness Center Director at Love Box Company overseeing health and wellness programming for 1500 employees in Wichita Kansas. Randy had the opportunity to start and direct the Athletics program for Northfield school for the Liberal Arts and also served as the head Volleyball and Basketball coach. Dr. Kennedy received his Masters degree in Sports Administration from Wichita State University and went on to earn his PhD in Educational, School and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri in 2007 with an emphasis in Sports Administration. He currently serves as a presenter for the NCAA/N4A partnership for APR. Dr. Kennedy and his wife Cindy have 3 children, Cole, 7, Kate, 4, and Will 3.
Jennifer Parsons graduated from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee with a
Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She then worked as a graduate
assistant in the Bratzke Center while earning her Master of Arts in Student
Personnel Services in Higher Education from EKU. Jennifer was hired as
the full time Athletic Academic Advisor at EKU in the Fall of 2007. Jennifer serves as the Bratzke Center tutoring coordinator, and also serves on the Membership committee of the N4A.
Dianna Hammond , Senior Office Associate, has been with The Chad Bratzke Student-Athlete
Academic Success Center since June of 2000. Prior to working at EKU she lived and worked in Atlanta, Georgia. She spent 10 years working as a calligrapher
for corporations such as, Georgia Pacific, Center for Effective
Performance and Atlanta Magazine to name
a few.
Jenna
Sample, Academic Coordinator, joined the Bratzke Center staff full time in August 2008. She graduated from the University of Louisville with a bachelors in sport administration, and completed her Masters in Sports Administration from EKU in August 2008. At UofL, she was the coxie on the rowing team (coxie=small person that sits at the front of the boat and motivates and steers). In 2006 she earned South Region Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association 1st team coxswain (nominated All-American). Ms. Sample will also serve as the Lifeskills Liaison for athletics at EKU.
